Imperial Hotel Tokyo Chocolate Bar

Received a present from one of the team members. He's a Japanese. He gave us a box of chocolate bars produced by Imperial Hotel Tokyo. I googled the price but couldn't get the exact price. The price is quite expensive! Thank you so much, Matsumoto-san! 🙏

The box is pretty. I love it! It also smells good. Really feeling thankful for this present. 😍

Bangka, I'm Coming! (Part 2)

Sunday, 31 December 2017

In the morning, my grandma and my aunt asked me whether I'd join them to the traditional market in Sungailiat. Of course I said so! I wanna see the traditional market there. The name is "Pasar Kite Sungailiat." The market is not too big but clean and neat.

After home, my uncle took me to Tongaci Beach. Unfortunately, it was raining hard when we arrived there. So sad...

Unfortunately couldn't catch the rain drops
We decided to move to Matras Beach. My uncle said that there's nothing special in the beach actually. So, I only took photos in front of the logo of the beach. The sun was shining so brightly that I

Haha, my cousin's shadow is seen in the photo 😂
The last place we visited on the day was Turun Aban Beach. Many fishermen fish from this beach. At the end of the year, this beach will be crowded by people.

Bangka, I'm Coming! (Part 1)

Saturday, December 30, 2017

It was my very first time visiting Bangka. I stayed at my uncle's house. Arriving around 2 p.m. at Depati Amir Airport in Bangka, I was picked up by my uncle's family and my grandma. I felt at home when I was there!

First thing we did was having lunch hehe. Yeah, I admit I was hungry. During the flight, I only received snack and mineral water. I flew with NAM Air taking around 30 minutes from Palembang to Pangkal Pinang. Such a short flight. After lunch, my uncle took me to Puri Tri Agung.

Unfortunately, the window was not clear.

Unfortunately, we couldn't enter the temple. It was already closed as we arrived late in the afternoon. Then, we went to Nirwana Beach, also known as Pantai Tikus. The beach is full of rocks. And, I saw sunset there! 😄

Then, we went home. We prepared for another place, Jembatan Emas. Similar to Ampera Bridge in Palembang in the old days. The bridge could lift itself (Ampera Bridge), but now no more. Jembatan Emas could, too. But, the lifting process is different. It separates itself into two parts whenever large ships across the river under the bridge. The bridge looks similar to Suramadu Bridge. The view is so beautiful at night, similar to Ampera Bridge, full of light.

Let's see other parts!

My Very First Solo Trip: Bangka

Sat, Dec 30 '17

My plane got delayed for around an hour. It was scheduled to board at 12:15 PM but then got delayed and would board at 13:00 PM. I supposed that the flight got delayed due to the weather. The destination where I would arrive was Bangka. It was raining in the morning, my cousin told me. No wonder then.
I chose NAM Air for the flight. Round trip. I already did web check-in the day before the departure.

I decided to take Trans Musi Busway from the Bus Terminal. I thought the busway to the airport wouldn't have to require me to transit. Unfortunately, I had to. Waiting for more than one hour made me, esp my shoulders, feel quite tired as I was bringing my backpack on my shoulder. I'd been waiting for the busway since 9:15 AM. But, up to 10:23 AM none showed up. I met two people who also wanted to go to the airport. We decided to take Go-Car. And, here I was. At the airport. I was feeling afraid because this was my first time going out of town by myself. Instead, it felt fun. Would love to travel more after this!
The day before, I already did web check-in and printed the boarding pass so I wouldn't have to queue at the counter. Hehe...
When I was writing this post, I was already on the boarding lounge waiting for the flight. More than one hour to go 😂

Well, then, see you on my next post!

Have a happy holiday, everyone!

Selamat mencoba, ya! 😉

The Best VPN I've Tried

It's already mid-2017, but I just made this as the first post in 2017. Did I miss many things?

Last night, someone asked me how to get subtitle from VIU Thailand. However, I wasn't able to reach VIU Thai though I'd tried using VPNs such as Hola, Flyvpn, etc. Finally, I went to VPN Gate site. After installing the OpenVPN, then downloading OVPN file for Thailand server, I made it! I was able to access VIU Thailand. Yippeee!!!

Do you wanna try it? Please go to their site and experience it yourself ^^

Sending Documents via DHL

Working with foreigners (read: Japanese) required me to adapt their working style. They are indeed hard-working type. Yesterday I was asked to send documents directly from Palembang to Tokyo. I had already asked the local staff in Jakarta how she usually sent documents to Tokyo. In fact, she just prepared the documents and later the officer from DHL would pick up them. She did not tell me how much the cost is. One thing I forgot to ask when calling DHL Customer Service is the cost. I only asked the estimated time from Palembang to Tokyo. It takes around three business days. When I went to DHL giving the documents to be sent, I was really surprised. One document, even it weighted less than 0.5 kg, cost Rp 431,000. I was really shocked. But, the documents to be sent to Jakarta had already been sent via TIKI, and the Japanese staff told me to send directly to Tokyo since it did not need to be signed by other person, whereas the documents sent to Jakarta needed to be signed first. IF, the documents sent to Jakarta does not have to be signed, I believe he would ask me to send them directly to Tokyo as well. Finally, I decided to send them. Hopefully it would reach on time or even in time.
